At the Forefront of Patient Care, Research, and Teaching.

The Division of General Internal Medicine continues its success in all activities, including those related to clinical care, research, teaching, and administration. The inpatient clinical activities have expanded in volume and outpatient services have increased. The Institute for Clinical Research Education (ICRE) has grown substantially and is now the organization supporting the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and serving as a resource for medical students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty members throughout the schools of the health sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. The division continues to have excellent funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and projects an increase in funding for 2013.
